You may recall that last summer, the TBYC Executive undertook a survey of club members and relevant stakeholders as the first step in developing a strategic plan for the Club. Since that time an Ad Hoc Committee of TBYC Executive and club members has been working to put together a draft strategic plan using the survey results, input from a focus group and other relevant sources of information.

At the Spring GM, scheduled for April 17, 2018, 7:00pm at the Mission Clubhouse, the Ad Hoc Long Range Planning Committee will be reporting on its work by means of a presentation that will include:

  • An overview of the process used to develop the plan;
  • A summary of the survey results;
  • Highlights of the focus group discussions;
  • The details of a draft TBYC strategic plan.

The plan focuses on 3 main areas:

  • Member Services
  • Community Outreach
  • TBYC Infrastructure

The presentation will outline the details of what is being proposed by the Long Range Planning Committee in each of these areas for the express purpose of getting TBYC member feedback on the strategic plan before final revisions are made to the draft document. The Committee hopes to submit its recommended Strategic Plan to the TBYC Executive for its consideration at the May, 2018 Executive meeting. It is hoped that the Plan can be approved by the Executive by the end of June, 2018 at the latest and work can begin on its implementation this summer.

In order to help make this happen, members are strongly encouraged to attend the Spring GM to share their thoughts on the draft TBYC Strategic Plan as well as the process and information sources used to develop it.

We hope to see you there!
