Mongoose is a well-maintained example of the venerable IMX-38 one-design from X-Yachts.  A proven performer under both PHRF and ORR the IMX-38 continues to validate the fast hull form and powerful sail plan objectives of the Niels Jeppesen design.

Mongoose excels at short course buoy racing as well as offshore racing, and has no difficulty making her PHRF 60 handicap in most conditions. It's a fun boat that sails like a thoroughbred, especially when the breeze is up.
 
The cockpit and deck layout include features normally only seen in much larger boats, including a huge cockpit that allows crew to work freely.  From a crew and sail load perspective it feels more like a 33-foooter than the 38-footer it is.
 

The interior layout is designed for an eight-person offshore crew in a four-sailing four-sleeping configuration. The interior is also generous enough for limited cruising.

Mongoose is actively raced, cruised from time to time, has a new sail inventory and will be sold with all offshore equipment. The boat is turn-key ready to race.

Autopilot:  Raymarine X10 autopilot with integrated gyro, ST6001 head unit, under-deck shaft drive and wired remote control. Integrated with main instrumentation via NMEA multiplexer; Autopilot can be controlled using mobile devices and software such as iNavX.

VHF:  Standard Horizon Matrix with AIS and integrated backup GPS. AIS data integrated with main instrumentation via NMEA multiplexer.

GPS:  Digital Yacht DualNav standalone gps/antenna system. Integrated with main instrumentation via NMEA multiplexer.

WIfi:  ShipModul Miniplex 2Wi NMEA multiplexer with wifi tx/rx. Main Ockam instrumentation, GPS, autopilot and AIS data are shared among each system as well as combined into an aggregated NMEA wifi data stream.
