As a thank you to Sleeping Giant Provincial Park for letting TBYC upgrade and add mooring balls to Sawyer Bay, Tee Harbour and Lethinen’s Bay we thought a beach cleanup weekend would be appropriate and is also needed!! 

Please put in your calendar Saturday September 11th or Sunday September 12th  

Where:  Sawyer Bay

Time:  any, but aiming at 12:00 – 15:00

TBYC will have some extra garbage bags but bring some if you can.

We’re asking members to walk and/or use a dinghy (some hopefully motorized) along a section of shoreline to pick up as much debris as possible (also look under the tree-line) and bring it to a designated location at Sawyer Bay.  The park superintendent has offered to haul the collection away on Sunday.  But it may be a lot for the park to take care of, so bringing some back with you is also a nice idea. 

A small gathering at the boat dock on Saturday night is planned.  If there is no fire ban at that time then hopefully a shore fire, hamburgers and cold drinks after we wash up from the garbage collecting.
