Event Date:

Location:
Mission Island Clubhouse
We are offering a course on "Stop the Bleed: Save a Life " a first aid
training program on April 30, 7- 8:30pm at the Mission Clubhouse at a cost of
$10 offered by Registered Nurse on emergency response.
When you’re out on the water, help isn’t always minutes away—it could
be hours. A serious bleed can turn deadly in just 5 minutes, but with the
right knowledge, you can be the difference between life and death.
Stop the Bleed is a hands-on, 90-minute course taught by Registered Nurses
with trauma and emergency experience. You’ll learn three critical,
military-proven techniques to control severe bleeding:
Direct Pressure – The simplest way to stop bleeding fast.
Wound Packing – When pressure alone isn’t enough.
Tourniquet Use – How to safely use this lifesaving tool (yes, even on
yourself!).
No medical experience? No problem. This course is designed for
anyone—whether you’re a boater, fisherman, or just someone who wants to
be prepared. You’ll leave with:
Hands-on practice (no boring lectures—we learn by doing).
The confidence to act in an emergency.
A certificate of completion—proof you’re ready to save a life.
Cost: We never want money to stop someone from learning. Group rate is
$10/person and the instructors provide all equipment.
Date: Wednesday April 30, 2025
Time: 7-8:30pm
Location: Mission Island Club House
Why wait? On Lake Superior, the most important safety tool isn’t just your
radio or first aid kit—it’s YOU. Sign up today—by responding to this
email, or if you have any questions please let me know.
