One of the longer and older local distance races, the Spar Channel Race takes the fleet south past Thompson Island, through Spar Channel, and outside Pie Island.
This year, race start is 1200, Skipper's Meeting at 1100.
The TBYC Offshore Series consists of seven separate mid-distance offshore races. One throw-out is allowed in the overall series scoring.

This race is usually held within the bay of Thunder Bay and is typically around 35 nautical miles in length. The course can vary from year to year.
Racers race from Silver Islet, which is located on the 'lake' side of the Sibley Peninsula, to Thunder Bay. Course length is approximately 19 nautical miles.
(2020 race was cancelled due to the pandemic)
The course for the 2023 Sawyers Bay race will start at Sawyers Bay back to Thunder Bay, leaving Hare Island to starboard.
Skipper's meeting is at 1100 on July 16 via VHF channel 72. Race start is 1200.
