Greetings from the hard

First and foremost, I hope you and your loved ones are managing all right during these challenging times.

The purpose of this message is to remind you that the TBYC property remains CLOSED to all users, for all uses.  For clarification this includes; the boat yard, all docks, and the clubhouse building. Our Facility Manager has been conducting daily checks to ensure the property remains secure and that members are not breaking the Provincial Emergency Order. So far, so good! Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in beating this pandemic.

I am also aware that there has been some speculation about when we might get back to normal spring preparations.  Unfortunately, the Emergency Order issued by the Province of Ontario has been extended until April 23, 2020 and may continue to be extended in two-week increments indefinitely. TBYC will remain closed until the Emergency Order is lifted. While we all want to get out on the water, we have a wider responsibility to keep our, families, friends and the community safe from this pandemic. Please remain safe, stay healthy and stay home.

Please know that the Board of Directors and several committees of volunteers are working on plans to restart operations as soon as the Emergency Order is lifted.  These include; preparing the travel lift for use, planned upgrades to the yard and docks, social events and the racing program. More details will follow once they are available.

In the meantime, stay healthy, stay home, and stay tuned.
