You may recall that last summer, the TBYC Executive undertook a survey of club members and relevant stakeholders as the first step in developing a strategic plan for the Club. Since that time an Ad Hoc Committee of TBYC Executive and club members has been working to put together a draft strategic plan using the survey results, input from a focus group and other relevant sources of information.
With profound sadness we share the news of Wayne Hurley's passing on March 26. A long-time TBYC member, former Membership Director, avid cruiser and racer, Wayne was a kind friend to many members of the TBYC. He will be dearly missed.

It is with great sadness we share the news of the passing of Barbara Heald, wife of Jim Heald. We offer our deepest condolences with Jim, the Heald family, and their friends. A long-time TBYC member, Barbara will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held Saturday, March 17, at 11:00am, at the Kakabeka Legion: 4556 Highway 17, Kakabeka Falls.

Thunder Bay Yacht Club is planning to host a World Sailing Approved Offshore Personal Survival Course April 7 and 8 of 2018. This two-day course has great value for all boaters: cruising and racing sailors, power boat cruisers, and fisherman.
