Race 5 of the On-Deck Wednesday Night Series takes place on this week on June 21, the Summer Solstice.

Former TBYC Commodore Chris Bailey has made an excellent suggestion that we welcome the astronomical, if not the climatological, arrival of summer.  Assuming nice weather, racing boats and other club members’ boats can after raft up on a couple of mooring balls after the race.  All club members are invited to join the celebration.  Bobsled will be there and race results will be announced on the water at the raft at approximately 10 pm.  Specific instructions to proceed or defer to a better weather day will be will be announced by the Fleet Captain via VHF on Channel 72 post-race.
